Villanova Olympians

At least one Villanovan has competed in every Summer Olympics dating back to 1948. There have been 59 Olympians who were student-athletes for the Wildcats, and they have made 89 appearances at the Olympic Games. Villanova has been represented at a total of 18 different Olympic Games dating back to 1908.

Olympians from Villanova have competed in eight different sports and won 13 medals, including nine gold medals and four silver medals. Charles Jenkins Sr. won gold medals in both the 400 meters and the 4x400 meter relay at the 1956 Summer Olympics. Three different track and field athletes have competed at four Olympiads.
